A rare disorder characterized by growth retardation with prenatal onset, cataracts, microcephaly, intellectual deficit, immune deficiency, delayed ossification and enamel hypoplasia. It has been described in two siblings. Transmission is autosomal recessive. preferido
A rare disorder characterized by hemolytic anemia, associated with metabolic acidosis and 5-oxoprolinuria in moderate forms, and with progressive neurological symptoms and recurrent bacterial infections in the most severe forms. preferido
A rare disorder characterized by increased bone density (predominantly diaphyseal) and aregenerative corticosteroid-sensitive anemia. The exact prevalence is unknown. Associated with mutations in the TBXAS1 gene (which encodes thromboxane synthase). Transmitted as an autosomal recessive trait. preferido
A rare disorder characterized by intrauterine growth retardation and intermittent locking of the finger joints. It has been described in two individuals: a mother and her daughter. The mode of transmission is autosomal dominant. preferido
A rare disorder characterized by mirror polydactyly, vertebral hypersegmentation and severe congenital limb deficiencies. Duodenal atresia and absent thymus were also reported. So far, it has been described in four unrelated infants identified through a congenital malformation screening program carried out in Spain. The prevalence was estimated at around 1 in 330,000. The etiology is unknown but it was suggested that the syndrome is caused by defective expression of a developmental control gene. preferido
A rare disorder characterized by neurological dysfunction, hepatic failure and cardiomyopathy due to a deficiency of complex I of the respiratory chain. preferido
A rare disorder characterized by progressive, late onset, autosomal dominant sensorineural hearing loss, QT interval prolongation, and mild cardiac hypertrophy. preferido
A rare disorder characterized by pterygium colli, digital anomalies (abnormal small thumbs, widened interphalangeal joints, and broad terminal phalanges), and craniofacial abnormalities (brachycephaly, epicanthic folds, angulated eyebrows, upward slanting of the palpebral fissures, ptosis, hypertelorism, and prominent low-set, posteriorly rotated ears). It has been described in a woman and her son, but the manifestations were much less severe in the mother. The son also had intellectual deficit. The inheritance is either X-linked dominant or autosomal dominant. preferido
A rare disorder characterized by recurring, often distressing, visual disturbances that resemble the effects of hallucinogenic drugs. These disturbances, which can include flashes of color, geometric patterns, and afterimages, occur long after the use of hallucinogens has ceased, and can significantly impact daily functioning and quality of life. preferido
A rare disorder characterized by slowly progressive spasticity, extrapyramidal movement disorders (dystonia, choreoathetosis and rigidity), cerebellar ataxia, moderate to severe cognitive deficit, and anarthria/dysarthria. preferido
